Type your website address. A real browser loads your homepage as a first-time visitor who has made no choice, then reports which tracking tools fired, which cookies were set, whether Google Consent Mode v2 started as denied, and whether a cookie banner showed at all. Free, no sign-up, one check a minute.
Four things, each in plain words. The checker reports what the browser saw on your homepage, once, with nothing clicked.
See the cookie banner →Google Analytics, Google Ads, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, TikTok, Microsoft Clarity, LinkedIn, Hotjar and more. For each one, whether its script loaded and whether it sent data.
How many, which are yours and which belong to a third party, with names and lifetimes.
Whether a dataLayer exists, whether a consent default was pushed before the tags ran, how each of the four signals started, and what Google's own requests carried.
Whether a cookie banner appeared on the first load, its first words and its buttons. If it is an Embedra banner, the report says so.
Whether that is allowed on your site is a question for your privacy policy and your legal adviser, and the report never pretends otherwise. Want the fix first? See the cookie banner, or how it sends Google Consent Mode v2.
A banner that asks after the tags have run is asking too late.
Google Consent Mode v2 works on four signals: ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. Google asks for a default for each one to be set before any tag sends data, and for an update when the visitor chooses. The checker reads both the defaults your page pushed and the status Google's requests actually carried.
Consent Mode v2 explained →All four signals were denied before any tag ran. Google Analytics and Ads then wait, or send cookieless pings, until the visitor says yes. This is the setup Google describes for consent mode.
Tags treated the visitor as having agreed from the first byte. A banner may still be showing, but it is asking after the fact.
Google's requests carry a short status, G100 when both storage signals are denied through G111 when both are granted, and a longer code with all four signals. Google has not published the longer code's meaning, so the report shows it raw.
If tools fired before a choice, the fix is a banner that holds them back. Embedra's cookie banner keeps Google Analytics, Google Ads, Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel off until a visitor accepts, sends Google Consent Mode v2 with every signal denied by default, and updates the signals the moment someone chooses. Paste one line of code, run the checker again.
Get a free cookie banner →Paste each tool's ID into the banner and remove the old tag. Nothing is sent to Google or Meta before a yes.
The banner tells each tool the answer, through Consent Mode v2 for Google and the consent controls built into Clarity, Meta and TikTok.
Results are kept for a day, so check back tomorrow after the banner is live, or ask us to clear the cached result. Add the banner on Webflow, WordPress, Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, Framer and plain HTML.
One load, one page, plain words.

Load your site in a fresh browser without clicking the banner and look at the requests to Google. Each one carries a gcs value: G100 means both storage signals were denied, which is what a correct default looks like before a choice. This checker reads that for you.
G100 is Google's consent status when ad storage and analytics storage are both denied. G110 is ads granted, G101 is analytics granted, G111 is both granted. The checker shows the value Google's requests carried on your homepage.
Yes. It runs in a shared browser with a daily time budget, so when the budget is used up it asks you to come back tomorrow. Results are kept for 24 hours and each one has a link you can share.
It stores the website address and the report for 24 hours, nothing else: no screenshots, no page content, no visitor data.
A banner that only shows a message while the tags run underneath has asked too late. The tags need a consent default of denied before they load, or a banner that loads them only after a yes. Embedra's banner does both.
No. It reports what a browser saw on your homepage: which tools fired, which cookies were set, how Consent Mode started. What the law asks of your site is for your privacy policy and your adviser.
