No. Elfsight's own help page says its Cookie Consent widget does not add, enable or disable cookies, even when a visitor declines, and none of its pages mention Google Consent Mode. Embedra's Cookie Banner holds Google Analytics, Google Ads, Tag Manager, Clarity, the Meta Pixel, TikTok, LinkedIn and ChatGPT Ads tags until a visitor says yes, and sends Google Consent Mode v2.
Elfsight's Cookie Consent is a notice: by its own help page, it does not block cookies, and it does not mention Google Consent Mode. Embedra's Cookie Banner, in Strict mode, loads Google, Clarity, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and ChatGPT Ads tags only after a visitor accepts, starts every Google Consent Mode v2 signal at denied, and lets visitors change their choice later. Both have a free plan with branding: Elfsight's gives 200 views a month, Embedra's 500.
Elfsight's help article →Elfsight: No: "doesn't add, enable or disable cookies, even if a user chooses to decline". Embedra: Yes, for the tools you connect: Google Analytics, Google Ads, Tag Manager, Clarity, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, ChatGPT Ads pixel.
Elfsight: Not mentioned on its product, pricing or help pages. Embedra: Yes: all four signals start denied, then follow the visitor's choice. Basic or Advanced, per tool.
Elfsight: A notice, or Allow and Decline. Embedra: A notice, or Accept and Decline with Manage preferences (Necessary, Analytics, Marketing).
Elfsight: Not described on its pages. Embedra: A Cookie settings button, or a link anywhere on your site.
Elfsight: Not mentioned. Embedra: No. A site check looks at your home page and tells you which tools still run before a choice.
Elfsight: Kept in the visitor's browser. Embedra: Kept in the visitor's browser; no central record.
Elfsight: No. Embedra: No.
Elfsight: 200 views a month, 1 widget, Elfsight branding. Embedra: 500 views a month, 1 widget, 1 domain, a small Embedra badge.
Elfsight: "Will temporarily deactivate your app". Embedra: Keeps working to twice the limit or 7 days past it, then the banner stops showing and the tools it loads stay off.
Elfsight: $5 a month billed yearly: 5,000 views, 3 widgets. Embedra: $7 a month billed monthly: 15,000 views, any 3 widgets.

We would rather you pick the right tool. Elfsight's Cookie Consent is the better choice when:
Elfsight Cookie Consent →If your site runs no analytics or ad tags, a notice is all a banner has to show. Elfsight's Basic plan is $5 a month billed yearly, less than Embedra's $7.
Elfsight offers GDPR, UK and RGPD wording templates. Embedra gives you the words to edit yourself.
Such as its forms or pop-ups, and want them all in one account. Elfsight has 90+.
And neither is the right pick if you sell ads on your own site through AdSense, Ad Manager or AdMob to visitors in Europe, the UK or Switzerland: Google requires a certified CMP for that, and neither tool is one.
Try the controls below. Adjust the padding, match your brand colors, and pick the perfect placement. What you design here is exactly what drops into your site.
No. Elfsight's own help article says the widget "doesn't add, enable or disable cookies, even if a user chooses to decline", and calls it purely informative. So when a visitor clicks Decline, Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and any other tag on the page keep running exactly as before. Blocking them is left to you.
Embedra's banner does the holding for you. Paste a tool's ID and remove its old code, and the banner loads that tool only after a visitor accepts. Before that, nothing is sent to Google, Meta or the others. After a Decline, nothing ever is.
None of Elfsight's Cookie Consent pages mention it: not the product page, the pricing page or its help articles, checked on 5 November 2026. Without Consent Mode, Google's tags never hear what the visitor chose.
Embedra sends Consent Mode v2 with no code. Every signal starts at denied: analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. The visitor's choice then updates them, Analytics and Marketing separately, so an Analytics-only yes never runs your Google Ads tags. Let Embedra load your Google tag and nothing reaches Google before a yes (basic consent mode), or keep your own tag with the banner's head code above it (advanced).
Eight, from six vendors, each in its category:
Google Analytics (a G- ID) and Microsoft Clarity.
Google Ads (an AW- ID), the Meta Pixel, the TikTok Pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag and the ChatGPT Ads pixel.
Loads for either, with Consent Mode set first.
Visitors choose Analytics and Marketing separately under Manage preferences, with both switched off to start. The banner controls the tools you connect, and anything else you wrap in its browser event. It does not scan your site for every script, so a tag you never connect keeps running.
Press "Check my site" in the banner's Integration guide. It opens your home page in a browser as a first-time visitor who has clicked nothing, then tells you which tools' own code is still in your head or footer code, which tools ran before any choice, and which tools on your site the banner is not handling. It checks the home page only, which is where site-wide code lives.
On Embedra, yes. Turn on the Cookie settings button, or point any link on your site, such as one in your footer, at #embedra-cookie-settings. The banner reopens with the visitor's current choice ticked. Turning a category off reloads the page once, so the tools they withdrew stop running.
Elfsight's pages describe a cookie icon setting but do not say whether it lets visitors change their choice.
Elfsight says going over the monthly views temporarily switches the app off. Embedra's free banner keeps working past 500 views, up to twice the limit or 7 days after reaching it. Then it stops showing, and the tools it loads stay off for anyone who has not already said yes. A banner counts a view each time it loads, but a visitor counts once every 30 minutes. On paid plans the banner does not switch off for traffic.
At app.embedra.io, no card, and add a Cookie Banner.
New banners start as a notice, which holds nothing back.
And paste its ID.
Then press "Check my site" in the Integration guide to confirm.
Paste it where the Elfsight code was (Webflow: Site settings, Custom code, Footer code).
Publish, check a page, then delete the Elfsight widget.
Every plan includes the cookie banner and every tracking tool.

No. Elfsight's help article says the widget does not add, enable or disable cookies, even when a visitor declines. It shows a notice; blocking tags is left to the site owner.
Its product, pricing and help pages do not mention Consent Mode (checked 5 November 2026). Embedra's banner sends all four Consent Mode v2 signals, starting at denied.
Yes: one banner, 500 views a month, one domain, every tracking tool, with a small Embedra badge inside the banner. No card needed.
No. It controls the tools you connect. Its site check looks at your home page and tells you which of those tools' code is still there and which ran before a choice.
No, and neither is Elfsight. Google says advertisers using Google Ads and Analytics do not have to use a certified CMP. AdSense, Ad Manager and AdMob publishers serving Europe, the UK or Switzerland do, and should use one.
No banner can do that alone. It handles consent for tracking on your website. Your privacy policy and how your business handles personal information still matter.
